The Fluke 1520 MegOhmMeter combines insulation resistance testing, AC/DC voltage measurement and Lo-Ohms function, in one rugged and convenient tool. The new 1520 MegOhmMeter is used for testing insulation in power system wiring and motor windings in addition to offering a Lo-Ohms function for continuity and ground connection testing. Easy to use with a simple interface, the 1520 provides insulation resistance testing up to 4000 Megohms, with three output voltages: 250V, 500V and 1000V. The Fluke 1520 switches automatically to voltage sensing when connected to a live circuit with voltage over 30V and provides ac/dc voltage measurement up to 600V. Fluke engineers designed the 1520 MegOhmMeter for the most demanding testing jobs. It has a large backlit LCD with analog bar graph and digital display plus a last-reading memory display for insulation resistance and Lo-Ohms. The fast-responding analog/digital display shows measurement changes graphically. The Fluke 1520 also provides an "auto discharge" safety function so the user will not be shocked by residual voltage left on tested circuits. The 1520 provides all of the functions required for professional insulation testing and ground connection testing under EN 61557-2. Battery-Powered, Safety-Rated The 1520 is powered by four C-cell batteries that provide enough energy for at least 5,000 tests per EN 61557-2, and also contains a battery-life indicator, battery-check function and auto shut-off. In addition, the Fluke 1520 MegOhmMeter is fully tested to comply with IEC 1010-1, CAT III 600V overvoltage category. Fluke Rugged The Fluke 1520 continues the Fluke tradition of providing rugged and reliable test tools and is able to withstand the harsh environments of a demanding workplace. A protective holster, providing maximum durability in the most extreme conditions and easily withstanding a one-meter test drop surrounds the rugged case. The backlit LCD gives clear result readouts, even in dark workspaces.
