The HP 8711A Option K02 Switching Test Set is specifically designed for use with the HP 871x Network Analyzer. The HP 8711A Option K02 expands the capability of the HP 871x by enabling the analyzer to make measurements in both forward and reverse direction on a DUT with a single connection.

The HP 8711A Option K02 utilizes the IBASIC capabilities of the HP 871x to control its RF switch. The interface between the HP 8711A Option K02 Switching Test Set and the HP 871x Network Analyzer is provided through the parallel port interface. The HP 8711A Option K02 provides a second parallel connector so printer capabilities will not be interrupted or an additional switching test set may be added.

Power for the HP 8711A Option K02 is provided by the HP 871x probe power output.
