Description
Rohde URV5-Z Series Measurements/Features: The voltage sensors of the URV5-Z series are indispensable tools in RF and microwave laboratories, test departments and service. They cover a frequency range from 9 kHz to 3 GHz and thus close the gap between low-frequency voltage measurements and microwave power measurements. Consequently they may be used for:
High-impedance DC and AC voltage measurements in noncoaxial circuits Level measurements in 50 O lines Terminated power measurements Voltage sensors are the right tools for everyday use. They permit the measurement of voltages from 200 µV to 1000 V and of powers from 1 nW (-60 dBm) up to 200 W (+53 dBm). Insertion Units URV5-Z2 (50 W), URV5-Z4 (50 W and 75 W): Insertion units are used for non-interrupting level measurements between source and load and for power measurements with wide dynamic range. They are made up of a short, reflection-free and low-loss line section with voltage tap and rectifier in the middle of the line. With a well-matched load, the transmitted power P can be calculated for the measured voltage Vrms and the characteristic impedance Z0 according to the formula
