This series of pulse generators allow multi-gigahertz pulse repetition rates with two independent output signals. Their primary applications are for testing very high-speed GaAs logic gates and circuits, and for driving laser diodes. The PG 5000A delivers 2V per output and operates for pulse repetition rates up to 5000 MHz with risetimes as low as 37 ps. The corresponding values for the PG 3000A are 5V per output up to 3000 MHz with risetimes as low as 60 ps. All values given behind the slash (/) are for the PG 3000A pulse generator. Both units are available with a standard differential (0/180) output phasing or optionally with equal phase outputs.
