Because it uses a thermal printing technique, it is extraordinarily quiet while in operation. Capable of alphanumeric, 5 x 7 dot matrix with a printing rate of 3 lines/sec. Uses roll or fan-fold thermal sensitive paper. Requires input interface for operation.
