Description
The 86107A represents one of the most significant improvements in wide-bandwidth sampling oscilloscopes in over a decade. Jitter performance has been reduced by almost an order of magnitude to less than 200 fs RMS. Timebase resolution has also been improved from 10 ps/division to 2 ps/division. Because the 86107A improves timebase jitter and linearity by more than a factor of five it provides extremely accurate views of 40 Gb/s waveforms.
Input signal
- Type: synchronous clock, square wave to sine wave shape
- Characteristic levels: 0.2 - 1.5Vpp
- Trigger range: 2 to 48 GHz (depends on options)
- Electrical Input: 3.5 mm male (2.4 mm male for frequencies > 25 GHz BW)
Timebase Jitter
- < 200 fs rms (for frequencies > 4 GHz)
- < 280 fs rms (for frequencies < 4 GHz)
