Description
Ultra-high performance oscilloscopes are required to meet the performance needs of engineers designing state of the art high-speed serial communication links and other ultra-high-speed electronic systems. Modern industry bus standards such as Fibre Channel, Fully Buffered DIMM, Serial ATA, Serial Attached SCSI, and PCI-Express have performance points in the 4 to 8.5 Gb/s range. Proprietary high-speed serial buses can also have clock rates in the 4 to 8.5 Gb/s range as well as edge speeds with rise times faster than 50 ps. Ultra-high performance oscilloscopes are required to capture the frequency harmonics of such high-speed signals and make accurate and repeatable measurements on them. Agilent''s award-winning InfiniiMax probing system set the standard for probing systems and the rest of the oscilloscope industry is now following this trend-setting architecture.
