The Narda 8217 is the least expensive accurate microwave oven survey instrument available. The mid-scale reading (5 mW/cm squared) of the single 0- 10 mW/cm squared range corresponds to the allowable limit for ovens used in the United States, Canada, and most of Europe. Its detection circuitry used a patented spiral antenna design. It comes complete with a beaker and thermometer to measure the output power of the oven in addition to its leakage.
