Description
The N4219B protocol analysis probe provides a reliable and convenient method to view full speed SATA and SAS traffic on an Agilent logic analyzer. Built-in packet recognizers provide powerful triggering without consuming logic analyzer resources. The probe supports protocol decode of both Serial ATA I and Serial ATA 2 at full speed, as well as Serial Attached SCSI. The N4219B also supports spread spectrum clocking (SSC) and out-of-band signaling (OOB).

The N4219B works with the 16900 Series modular logic analysis systems. 68 channels, with 200 MHz or above state capture, are all that is required for protocol decode of a bi-directional link.

All Serial ATA and Serial Attached SCSI traffic is time-stamped in the logic analyzer for time-correlation measurements with other system buses such as a microprocessor system bus (FSB), memory interface, PCI-Express, etc.

Features:
  • Built-in packet recognizers for robust triggering (up to 52 bytes of the packet header can be defined for exact packet definition)
  • Full speed capture (1.5 Gb/s and 3.0 Gb/s)
  • Snoops link - non repeating solution does not change timing or physically break the SATA/SAS link
  • Spread spectrum clocking (SSC) supported
  • Out-of-Band (OOB) signaling supported
  • Broad logic analyzer support
  • Convenient interposer attach for in-target testing
  • Serial ATA and Serial Attached SCSI Logic Analyzer Configuration
